Cover Photo: View of Hells Hole Canyon from Bjorns Overlook, Uinta Basin, Utah. Strata consists of roughly 300 meters of lacustrine dolomite muds with variable organic matter content mostly in the upper Green River Formation. The prominent Mahogany bed, which forms a ridge near the top of the outcrop, contains as much as 45wt% TOC. In the back of the canyon, some of the more tan lower Green River Formation sands and carbonates are visible. See Pommer et al., this issue.
